About Bridgette Kidd, MPH, RD, LD

I am an open-minded and progressive dietitian, nutrition advocate, and food politics junkie.
I love to call out the food industry’s deception in marketing, labeling, and claiming health.
This blog is where I share my thoughts on making progress in our nation’s food system.

  2. I have been making my own breadcrumbs for years but never tried processing them before the drying process. I cut the bread sliced, usually the bums, into small cubes, place on toaster oven tray (more economical then heating up the big oven) then turn on toaster for just a could minutes to heat it up. Next turn off toaster and let try sit inside until cooled off. Walla, instant bead croutons, which can be seasoned either before toasting or after. When I need crumbs I throw a handful of cubes in Magic Bullet with whatever herbs or spices needed for the recipe. Really simple and easy.
